Doncaster Rovers Belles remain winless and botom of FAWSL after going down 4-0 at Chelsea, despite having some strong spells.

An Eniola Aluko double helped Chelsea get back to winning ways with Ji Son Yun and Beth England geting the others.

Doncaster went close in the 54th minute when Carla Humphrey shot straight at goalkeeper Rebecca Spencer.

Belles manager Emma Coates said she was pleased with her side’s first half display and was focusing on the positives.

“We kept the stats of the first half; it’s the most shots we’ve had on target, which was a positive,” she said.

“They’re last year’s double champions, we’re newly promoted and we’re competing. The good news is we’re competing for longer periods of time, now we’ve got to sustain it for 90 minutes.

Belles (4-4-2): Hobbs; Barker, Roberts, Tierney, Pacheco; Lipka (Cresswell 74), Omarsdottir (Bakowska-Mathews 82), Simpkins, Humphrey (Smith 70), Murray, Sigsworth
