A ZULU war expert is giving a lecture in Sheffield as part of a series of events aiming to raise £100,000 for injured troops’ charity Help for Heroes.

Rob Caskie will be speaking at the Cutler’s Hall from 6.30pm on Monday, June 20.

The ‘Zulu War Talks’ will reveal remarkable tales of courage, honour and mutual respect behind a historic series of battles between the British Empire and the Zulu Kingdom in 1879, which ended the Zulu nation’s independence.

Rob is the senior guide and principal lecturer at the Fugitives Drift Heritage Lodge in the heart of the Zulu War Fields in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.

Organiser Nick Hood said: “We hope the audience will thoroughly enjoy these talks but also that these events will increase people’s awareness and knowledge of Help for Heroes.”

Anyone wanting tickets for the event is asked to make a donation to Help For Heroes. Costs are covered by sponsors, and all proceeds will go to the charity. To book a place, log onto www.h4hzuluwartalks.co.uk or call 0117 984 2817.
