A FLASHMOB of zombies has helped to raise money and awareness of a Sheffield charity.
A hundred dancers from five different schools across Sheffield took part in a breakout routine at Barker’s Pool on Saturday, dancing to a mash-up of Thriller and Heads Will Roll.
“It wasn’t exactly easy to stay discreet when we have a hundred kids preparing to launch into zombie moves,” laughed Helen Green, director of theatre group ‘Razzamataz’ who organised the event.
Helen choreographed the two minute routine, which was performed in support of Sheffield Neurocare, which raises money to buy life saving equipment for use in the Neuro theatres of Sheffield’s Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
“Neurocare is still not a terribly well-known Sheffield charity,” explained Helen.
“We hope that, besides being a lot of fun, this event can help to raise awareness and funds for this important Sheffield charity.”
