Souper trooper chef Vikkie Richmond has created a real stir - by becoming an internet cookery sensation.
The former Armthorpe woman, who now lives in Warwickshire, has set up her own cookery channel on video sharing website YouTube to showcase a string of soup recipes as well as helping people to lose weight at the same time.
Vikkie has spent the last few weeks creating recipes and then videoing her efforts in the kitchen so people can follow her diet tips online.
She said: “I have been creating and adapting soup recipes into delicious, fresh fat free or low fat alternatives. While making the soups, I have been filming myself cooking the recipes in my kitchen. I have started to help encourage other viewers to take part.
The YouTube food channel, Victoria British Boutique, contains a host of tutorials which have been watched by people from across the globe.
She said: “I decided to create the challenge in order to shift some Christmas holiday weight and as my healthy food recipe videos have been the most popular, I thought it would be a great idea to share them with the nation.
“Hundreds of people have contacted me through Facebook to say they would also like to commit – so much so, I have opened a dedicated Facebook group, called I Love SW Soup.
“There are also a lot that have started now as the soup recipes are available in advance. And as I say in my videos; the soup maker is not a necessity but is very nice to have – in fact, a pan and a blender will suffice.”
