BUDDING politicians from around the Yorkshire region headed to the Peak District for a weekend of intensive training and debates.
The gathering was held at the Hollowford Centre in Edale, where members of the UK Youth Parliament were given the opportunity to prepare for their new term of office, representing young people in their local areas.
During the get-together the youngsters participated in campaign, media and public relations skills workshops and were given examples of debating techniques.
The group also voted to continue lobbying for young carers as their campaign for the coming year.
Harrison Carter, Member of UK Youth Parliament for Sheffield, said: “I am extremely enthusiastic to be continuing this project, which we hope can be a long lasting legacy.”
