Run for All, the expert team behind the hugely successful Yorkshire Half Marathon, are organising a new run set to take place in Sheffield on Sunday October 30 this year.

Created in partnership with Sheffield City Council, the Sheffield 10k is the latest addition to the Run For All Events series and is sponsored by the Asda Foundation.

Now, Roundabout has been confirmed as an official charity partner for the event, following their success with fundraising in the Yorkshire Half Marathon in April.

Roundabout is Sheffield’s youth homeless charity which provides shelter, support and life skills to young people aged 16-24. They have various services which aim to reduce youth homelessness in our city and a hostel for 27 young people, located in the Highfield area.

“As soon as we heard about this new run, we were eager to get involved,” explains Ruth Gage, Roundabout’s Fundraising and Communications Manager.

“The partnership with Run For All Events has already raised over £5,000 thanks to some of our supporters who have taken part in the events and collected a generous amount in sponsorship.

“We encourage lots of people to take part in this new run and expect it will be very popular. The atmosphere is always incredible and they cater for runners of all abilities.”

Runners at this event will have a brand new route to enjoy, commencing at Arundel Gate and taking them along scenic routes by Endcliffe Park, before returning to the city centre.

Roundabout have a number of charity places available, and they ask that their runners raise a minimum of £100.

Charlie Tatman, Run For All Event Manager, said: “We look forward to working in partnership with Sheffield City Council to put on another event in this great city.

“Since its launch last year, the Yorkshire Half Marathon-Sheffield has been warmly embraced by the city and we are confident the new Asda Foundation Sheffield 10K will prove just as popular with runners and spectators alike.”
