AND talking of horror movie-making, how do you fancy a day as one of the living dead?
An independent South Yorkshire film company needs extras to play zombies in a new flick - and they want you.
A Father For The Dead - inspired by the classic Day Of The Dead - is being filmed by Safehouse Pictures on the site of the old Pinegrove Country Club in Myers Grove Lane, Stannington, Sheffield and the producers want the place to be awash with lost souls.
“You’ll be made up using liquid latex, make-up and blood,” says producer Nicola Morter, whose husband Damian is writer and director,. “You won’t be paid but it will be a feast of flesh-eating fun.”
All those appearing will get their name in the credits, while it is hoped the movie - film poster pictured - will be shown at festivals around the UK and the rest of the world.
The couple’s first feature film - Bicycle Day, a thriller about four friends who go on a camping trip with horrific consequences - has just been released to warm reviews.
It is hoped Father For The Dead will have a 2012 release date.
Filming takes place June 19, 9.30am - 9.30pm. Over 18s only. Information at firstname.lastname@example.org
