PENGUINS, pandas and parrots will be among the animals brought to Sheffield’s Moor this summer. Sort of.
This is the first look at the stunning murals which will surround the construction site of the new market.
They includes an array of wildlife images.
“The design will complement the endangered species exhibition that was there,” says Sarah Yates, the 24-year-old graphic designer of Penistone who will paint the hoardings.
Work starts June 11 and the murals - commissioned by regeneration charity Groundwork Sheffield - will remain until the new market is opened in 2013.
“It’s a real buzz to have a canvas that will show off my work to the entire city,” says Sarah. Her work can be seen at www.faunagraphic.com
