We have to live with what you have done

For all those who are saying 'get over it!', this is what my daughter posted on Facebook yesterday:
EUEU
EU

“I feel like I am grieving! I was born in the EU and for me it is who I am!

“My boyfriend (now probably soon to be husband), is Spanish, the majority of my friends are “immigrants” and they are the hardest working, kindest, happy and most genuine people.

“The ONLY comfort I can take from this whole situation is that my kids will be automatically entitled to citizenship/nationality in Spain! As for myself... Even being married to a Spaniard won’t make it easy. My boyfriend feels unwelcome here and has advised me against speaking openly about the situation in public.

“For the first time in my lifetime, I feel uncomfortable to be able to speak Spanish in public for fear that people will see me and my friends as “all those dirty foreigners, coming here, taking our jobs or claiming our benefits!”

“This is the first time I feel out of place in my own city and my own country!

“Upset, angry, devastated don’t even come close to how I’m feeling right now.

“For any people who say get over it and what’s done is done, what’s done is NOT done! We still have to live through the consequences of what you have done.”
