We went to the top of Castle Hill to watch both the women’s and men’s races on the second day of the Tour de Yorkshire.
The whole of the town was partying with lots of bunting, four live bands, the church fete, lots of other entertainments and hot food.
It was a pleasure to be there to share the events with the friendly Conisbrough people.
This was not just a bike race but a festival too. And then the cyclists came and joined in as well – there were packed streets and a great wall of sound as the crowds cheered them up the steep hill. Even the sun was shining. S
uch a pity that the cameras were down and then the rest of the world could have been there too. But thank you and well done Conisbrough for a great day out.
