SPOTTED at Yorkshire Bank in Fargate, this sign, above.
And if that reference to the old police box outside Sheffield Town Hall doesn’t make you smile, you must have the heart of a dalek.
AND also spotted, below, this on the Sky 1 TV show I Heart Glee.
In the programme, former Spice Girl Emma Bunton travels to Los Angeles to meet cast members from the hit American comedy series Glee.
Except look a little close, as viewer Robert Moore did, and in the background you can see the names of several South Yorkshire villages and towns clearly written on the wall of the LA studio.
Aston, South Anston, Treeton, Rotherham, Doncaster, Maltby and Canklow all appear.
But what these places are doing hanging up in an LA studio appears to be something of a mystery
“That’s unusual,” says a Sky 1 press officer when this column asks the question.
So unusual, indeed, that the production company isn’t sure of the answer; and – undeterred – a call has now been put into American broadcasting company Fox.
At the time of press, an answer remains elusive.
SOUTH Yorkshire Fire and Rescue are looking at axing ridiculous target response times, then?
Because surely only one target matters: get to the damned fire as quickly as is safely possible.
