MISS Sheffield judges went snooker-loopy for Sanober Hussain as she wore this dress complete with cue, coloured balls and Crucible tickets trimming.
The 23-year-old of Nether Edge was tickled pink after being crowned top beauty at the annual event.
And now she’s hoping it could be her big break – to enter Miss England.
“We had to wear a dress that somehow represented Sheffield,” says Sanober, a mental health support worker at Alpha Hospital in Arbourthorne. “I wanted to try and do something a bit different so and I thought snooker.
“I never thought I’d win because there were so many great girls there but I was so honoured – it’s made my family very proud. I just hope it shows girls from different cultures can take part in these competitions and win.”
Among the 16 beauties she beat, one girl – 21-year-old Emma Cook, who was wearing a dress made from recycled Stars. Great taste, Emma.
But it was Sanober’s night and the former King Ecgbert School pupil now goes into a Miss England semi-final to be held in Leicester on June 13.
