YOU might think after watching Sheffield Wednesday for so long that he’s visited 100 different grounds, Keith Bridge would be ready to retire.
The super Owls fan, pictured below, last month celebrated his centenary of stadia by appearing in The Diary.
Now this weekend he will make it 101 not out - wrong sport but you get the gist - when he travels to see the team take on Bristol Rovers at their Memorial Stadium.
“We’ve only lost one of the last six so I’m looking forward to it,” says the 56-year-old pharmaceutical worker who grew up in Frecheville but now lives in Northampton.
He reckons he’s spent £40,000 over 45 years watching the side – but we’re not allowed to tell wife Jakki that.
Now for the rest of this season he’ll also be cheering on Stevenage. If they are promoted into Wednesday’s division for 2011-12, their ground - Broadhall Way - could become number 102.
SCARED of creepy crawlies? Look away now.
A special day school is next month promising to introduce Sheffielders to that most ugly of creatures, the woodlouse. And it promises to be, ugh, hands-on.
Experts will discuss the crustacean’s lifestyle and habitat during the session on Saturday May 21 at Sheffield’s Weston Park Museum, 11.30am - 4pm. Tickets £25.
