The national press always has a ready supply of nutty dog stories.
One this week held my attention more than most.
Apparently the much loved pet of a family in Warrington has a penchant for tearing apart anything within reach.
The dog’s latest target was the family sofa and for me it was the sofa that was the star of the article.
Now, studying the accompanying photograph I would estimate the cost of the frame to be approximately zero, the cheapest grade of chipboard and what appears to be recycled pallets.
I’ll wager there were a goodly number of retired upholsterers who had a chuckle at what goes into the manufacture of today’s furniture, especially as the sofa was described as having cost £2,000.
