Keep bending the knee to the EU

213 out of 232 Labour MP’s will be voting to stay in the EU along with ‘dodgy’ Dave. That should be good enough to vote out.

We are told “membership of the EU gives Britain some protection from the complete dominance by the United States”.

Even if true then it means surrendering to the dictatorship of Brussels.

As for the United States, outside the EU we the British would decide how much, or how little, dominance they have here, not the unelected in Washington DC or Brussels.

An example of this EU dictatorship is where MEPs and even judges in the European Court of Justice objected to an increase in bureaucracy by the imposing of 28 additional judges, at an extra cost to the taxpayer of £16 million, only to be overruled by the Commission.

This is by no means the only example of where we are powerless against the EU Commission, and have no influence in the EU.

We are told being in the EU does not stop us trading with the rest of the world, sorry but under the Treaty of Rome it does.

Inside the EU we can only do deals, as Cecilia Malmstrom, the EU’s Trade Commissioner, does for us or allows us to do.

She takes the views of 28 very different nations into account and the handicap this puts upon us is that it has taken seven years to complete a deal with Canada.

We have not been able to do our own trade deals since 1975 but by retaking our seat at the World Trade Organisation trade deals of more benefit to both could be taken without problems.

For example non-EU Greenland have several trade agreements with Canada, most being completed in weeks.

We need to be our own ‘boss’, in the world and Commonwealth, to make our own deals and decisions again, with all the benefits such freedom brings.

The UK was ruined by our main parties concentrating on the EU rather than the greatest nation on earth.

We may/not regain those heady days completely, but we certainly would not be grovelling in the way Dave and the Stay Ins seem to want us to continue doing by ‘bending the knee’ to the EU.
