Great Britain once again

Tomorrow the British public will vote in the EU Referendum and let no one underestimate the magnitude of what we are about to decide as our whole future will depend on the crucial outcome.

Given all the arguments and conflicting viewpoints the key question for all of us must surely be ‘Do we want to be governed by our own parliament in Westminster, or continue being subservient to the dictats of our paymasters in Brussels?’

We should ignore the ‘scaremongering’ tactics of David Cameron and the threats and bullying we have witnessed from Barack Obama and Angela Merkel and her devious cronies who have tried to persuade us that this great country of ours is too weak to stand on its own feet and survive outside the EU.

What the unelected bureaucrats are really frightened of is the thought of losing our massive weekly contribution of £350 million as they really need us more than we need them.

The ‘Remainers’ accuse the ‘Leave’ camp of being ‘Little Englanders’. On the contrary our wish to be independent to make our own decisions does not mean we are isolating ourselves, but are in fact wanting to open up new vistas of opportunities where we can trade with the rest of the world without interference from Brussels.

The EU is a crumbling, outdated and failing economy which restricts us and is preventing us from moving forward. Staying in will not give us more power to change things or negotiate a better deal. Look at David Cameron’s recent pathetic ‘cap-in-hand’ trip to Brussels where he failed to get the concessions required and came away with next to nothing.

Reforming the EU from within is just not possible. Staying in would also be disastrous for the younger generation as, due to out-of-control immigration and unsustainable demands on housing, they will never be able to get on the property ladder. The most disturbing factor of all is that the Germans, being the most dominant member, have managed to take control of the EU without a shot being fired.

When we cast our vote tomorrow we should recall the terrible price that was paid in WW2 to keep this country free. Think how they would feel if we sign away our country for ever to the dictators in Brussels. Did they pay the ultimate price for nothing?

If we remain in the EU it will mean the death of England as our country will change beyond all recognition as we lose our identity.

We must not allow this to be the destiny for our precious little island that has fought off would-be invaders for over 1,000 years.

A vote to ‘Leave’ means we can take control of our own future and not be ruled by a corrupt regime which is alien to our whole way of life, and I am confident that this country will then go from strength to strength.

Great Britain had the respect of the world and was successful long before the EU existed and given the determination and fortitude of our people it can be once again.
