ARE these Sheffield’s youngest businessmen?

Little Zach Smith and pal Sam Oliver have set up their very own importing firm – and are set to pitch their products to John Lewis’s regional panel next month.

The two Birkdale School pupils, both 14, have struck a deal to sell handmade notebooks and photo frames from Nepal here in the UK.

And, as if that wasn’t impressive enough, they then pump profits back into the Nepal community, helping to fund local children going to school.

“We think they’re really great products and they make lovely gifts so we think they’d sell well at John Lewis,” says Zach.

The pair, along with another five school pals, set up Nepal Paper Gifts two years ago after Birkdale linked itself with a school in Nepal.

Teachers suggested the idea and the youngsters took it from there.

The gifts are currently sold in local stores Cards, Cards, Cards in Sharrow Vale Road, Sharrow Vale, and Rounds News off Carter Knowle Road, Carter Knowle.
