In regards to Miss S Quick’s letter about being told not to use disabled toilets.
This also happened to me.
I have a problem with my bowel, but just because I do not have wheels or a stick does not mean I do not have a medical condition.
When I was stopped, to say I was embarrassed and upset was a understatement.
I informed the person that they could see my hospital paperwork to check that I was indeed suffering from a medical condition.
It’s sad that you have to explain yourself just to go to the toilet.
It’s the privacy of the disabled facilities that save you being embarrassed by someone walking in.
All ages my have some sort of medical condition that may require them to use the disabled facilities.
It’s wrong of people to put other people on a spot just because they need to use the toilet.
