Have your say

I see from The Star that cyclists are urging the council to make the roads safer for them.

How do they think the council can do that?

The city centre streets are quite narrow and have to cope with vast numbers of cars and buses every day.

I feel very sorry for the drivers of these vehicles, having to be ready to avoid pedestrians wandering across the roads oblivious to oncoming traffic and probably glued to their mobile phones too.

There is no safe place for bicycles among this busy traffic and there is no space for a dedicated cycle lane as the roads are not wide enough.

It is unfortunate as cycling is healthy but in busy city centres cyclists are an extra hazard.
