IT is a rivalry which has divided Sheffield for 120 years – now the question of being a Blade or an Owl is to split a Bulgarian orphanage too.

United and Wednesday have both donated kits to the Sofia Children’s Home.

Businessman Wayne Leigh, director of Cutting Edge Promotions, based in Attercliffe Road, Sheffield, set up the scheme after visiting the orphanage.

The father-of-six, of Thorpe Hesley, asked business contacts to supply items including cots, clothes and nappies. Most popular of all, though, were the footy shirts – although Wayne, 45, refuses to say which were most popular.
