Have your say

HOW does a restaurant celebrate a landmark anniversary?

By revamping the menu perhaps? By cutting drink prices maybe?

Not if the restaurant in question is the super-successful WasabiSabi, in London Road, Heeley, Sheffield, which is celebrating its lucky seventh birthday by commissioning a specially created T-shirt.

Sheffield artist Nick Deakin has designed this fashionista item featuring a Japanese Daruma doll - a symbol of good luck and encouragement. They’re available from the restaurant or The Old Sweet Shop, in Nether Edge Road, Nether Edge, from February 23. £20 each.

Thriller chillers

ONE is based in the Peak District, the other in Sheffield’s immigration community - but both these crime thrillers will scare the bejesus out of you.

Claws by Nottinghamshire writer Stephen Booth and Not Safe by Sheffield author Danuta Reah have been released as part of a new Crime Express series.

The two detective novellas, published by Five Leaves, will be released on April 1, priced £4.99.
