Have your say

THEY might stereotypically be a scruffy bunch but this student at least was looking sharp after getting shaved on campus.

Andrew Martin, 22, was one of 30 lads given a free wet one by professional barber Nathan Knowles at Sheffield University’s Students’ Union.

The face furniture was whisked away, while 1,000 shaving kits were given out as part of a promotion.

Chops away.

Kids’ day boost

GOOD news for kids.

A Sheffield solicitor’s campaign to create an official National Children’s Day has won the backing of two major charities.

Save The Children and Rock UK will support Nikki Sharpe’s campaign to have youngsters’ rights promoted.

The 45-year-old founder of the city’s Youth Can Achieve enterprise said: “It’s a massive first step.”

She has now written to a dozen other charities to ask for their support before she begins to lobby parliament.

Lion film roaring
