Youngsters lead campaign to stamp out bad parking

Barnsley primary pupils are leading a campaign to remind parents not to park on zig-zag lines outside school gates.

A new policy is being introduced on Vicarage Lane, Royston, which leads to Royston St John Baptist CE Primary and Royston Parkside Primary, with the aim of showing road users the importance of parking and waiting safely.

The children will join police officers to patrol parking at the school gates and will issue warning cards to cars parked on zig-zag lines.
