why can Rotherham Council find £140,000 for wallpaper yet cut funding to the youth service? I use the youth cafe and find all the young people are pleasant and polite.
They desperately need somewhere to meet for advice and support and find this all in the one place, in the centre of town. The staff relate to them on their level. Even the police give their support.
Where will the youngsters go? Hang round the streets?
Nobody wants this so surely, rather than have yet another empty shop, let them keep using it. I understand the young people asked for a meeting with councillors but none turned up.
Yet again the youngest and oldest in our community are hardest hit and from a Labour council. Who’d believe it?
