Young Doncaster Rovers fans can follow in the footsteps of their idols this summer by playing a match on the Keepmoat Stadium pitch.

Fifty lucky children will be able to play on the hallowed turf during the school holidays as part of an open evening hosted by the club.

The event will give Rovers supporters the opportunity to meet the first team squad, who will be working in the ticket office and club shop for a short time, and also watch the team take part in a training session on the pitch.

Mini tours of the stadium will also be offer, where fans will get to see the League 1 Champions trophy, the first team changing room, as well as the restaurant and hospitality boxes. Tours will be available on a first-come first-served basis and booking is advisable.

To book spaces on the tour in advance, to avoid disappointment on the day, call 01302 764 664 to book a space now.

Junior season ticket holders can take part in a special game between 5pm and 6pm.

Call the ticket office on 01302 762 576 to book a place at the event on July 24 from 4pm until 8pm.
