TRUSTEES of a Sheffield charity which helps underprivileged young people have decided to wind up the organisation after funding was cut.
Contracts which provided the bulk of Kelvin Media Productions’ income have come to an end meaning its funding is dropping by 75 per cent.
A meeting of trustees has decided to wind-up the organisation from August 1.
It follows the ending of a Sheffield Council contract to provide music and media-based training to help 16 to 18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training.
The council is scaling-back grant funding due to budget cuts.
KMP, based at Edmund Road Business Centre, near Bramall Lane, had a smaller contract to help 14 to 16s but not enough to cover costs.
