Young patients have time to Chuckle on the wards - VIDEO

TO me, to you – and it was over to the Chuckle Brothers to spread smiles across the wards at Sheffield Children's Hospital during a special visit.

Barry and Paul didn't make it as far as the lift before they were stopped by young fans desperate to meet the comedy duo.

The children's television favourites cracked jokes and made the most of their catchphrase as they chatted with the patients.

Some of the youngsters even donned fake moustaches in honour of the pair who took time out of their schedules to tour the wards.

Barry said: "Whenever we get the chance we like to come to the Children's Hospital. We are busy most of the year so we don't get many opportunities but it's wonderful when we do. It is great seeing the kids' faces light up when we walk in.

"Some of them are very poorly so it is really nice to be able to give something and do something worthwhile that might give them a bit of hope."

The Chuckle Brothers are appearing in Chuckle Trek – The Lost Generation at the Lyceum on February 13 and 14.
