The men, aged 22 and 27 and from the Bakewell area, were arrested at an unidentified nightspot on Corporation Street on Saturday night. They have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
The arrests came as part of an operation which saw officers and a police dog visit a total of 11 pubs, bars and clubs in Chesterfield, Alfreton, Ripley and Heanor to check for illegal drug use.
During the evening, a total of 18 people were searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Sergeant Nick Booth, of Derbyshire police, said: “Hopefully this sends out a message to those who decide to take or supply controlled drugs in the night-time economy. It will not be tolerated by police in Derbyshire - and we will proactively identify and prosecute anyone who flaunts the law.
“There are the obvious health concerns related to drug use but also there are proven links to violent crime when taken in conjunction with alcohol.”
Report drug-related activity to Derbyshire police on 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
