A TEAM of young lawyers from Sheffield undertook one of the most gruelling challenges there is - by walking from London to Brighton in just 24 hours for the charity Blind Veterans UK.
All were from Irwin Mitchell which sponsored the 100km walk as well as providing a team which itself raised over £1000 from paper and online donations.
The trek took the team from Richmond in London, through the trail footpaths of Surrey and Sussex, to a momentous finish at the Blind Veterans UK centre in Ovingdean, Brighton, where those who finally made it celebrated their achievement.
Out of more than 300 walkers to start the challenge only a third of them completed it.
David Withers, a trainee solicitor in the serious injury team and Ciaran Dearden and Sally Rissbrook were among those who crossed the finish line.
David said: “It was the hardest challenge ever.”
