HERE come the girls...
Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a show by the Sheffield-based Stepping Out dance school. And this year the performance has been given a bit of extra sparkle because it’s being staged in a proper theatre.
The girls from Stepping Out were due to perform the first of four sell-out performances at the Montgomery Theatre in Surrey Street last night.
And they have been hard at work perfecting their routines in three dress rehearsals.
But it hasn’t all been hard slog – these girls certainly know how to have fun.
Dance teacher Michelle Farrar said: “The girls have worked so hard for the show and they love to perform in front of an audience.
“I hope the weather doesn’t spoil it as we are completely sold out and ready to go.
“And I can guarantee that the audience will have as much fun watching the show as the girls do performing it.”
Stepping Out Dance School was established more than 15 years ago, starting with only a handful of children on a Saturday afternoon.
The school, based in Beighton and Killamarsh, now boasts more than 350 pupils.
Proceeds from the shows are being donated to the British Lung Foundation.
