IT’S a hard knock life for us.
And it’s doubly difficult when you’re trying to land a part in a professional musical.
So it’s quite an incredible achievement that not one but nine local girls have secured a part in Annie which is being staged at the Lyceum Theatre in Sheffield this week.
To secure the part the hard-working girls - all members of the Constance Grant Dance Centre in Psalter Lane - had to pass a rigorous audition of acting, singing and dancing.
The talented team - Daisy Sequerra, Lottie Sequerra, Jessica Broadhurst, India De Rocha Humberstone, Olivia Robinson, Millie Scott, Grace Barnes, Maddie Fletcher and Leah Tucci - are all aged between seven and 13.
A dance centre spokeswoman said: “They are looking forward to an amazing week performing alongside Sue Pollard.”
Annie is at the Lyceum until Saturday with performances at 7.45pm evening and matinees tomorrow and Saturday.
