Former Mexborough School pupil Sian, of Doncaster Road, has been acting since 2000 and last year was considered by TV producers as a possible character for Channel 4 teen drama Skins.

But at the moment she is concentrating on the possible modelling job which winning the contest would bring.

She said: “I think it is what I want to do at the moment and it is my main aim.

“I really want to be a success in acting and it was really exciting last year when I got a call-back for Skins.

“So far my work has been amateur. I started acting at a young age attending many drama and theatre schools, such as Stagecoach, where I developed skills in drama singing and dancing we did many stage productions such as Wizard of Oz.”

Since then she has gone on to take part in several school productions including Joseph and his Technicolor Dream Coat and Blood Brothers.

She has just started her performing arts A-level at Thomas Rotherham College in Rotherham. She hopes to go on to study at former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts.

She has been selected as a semi-finalist for the online Miss Fresh Teen competition and says she only entered as a bit of fun.

Sian was invited to a fashion shoot in Watford. Thousands of girls entered the competition.

All semi finalists have now been selected for the fifth heat and the public are invited to vote.

The winner of heat five will win £75 worth of cosmetics and receive a place in the national final.

The national finalists will be invited to the one-day photo shoot final and one winner will be chosen to go to Florida and star in the next catalogue shoot for top teen brand Hannahs, as well as appearing on branding for Barry M Cosmetics branding in Superdrug stores.

A public vote is being held to select the winner of the next heat of Miss Fresh Teen.
