A FLASHING warning sign which tells motorists when they are speeding has suffered hundreds of pounds’ worth of damage in two separate attacks.
The device, on Harborough Lane, Manor, was installed after concern about speeding motorists and an accident in which Mitchell Mason, aged nine, was knocked down by a car.
Sheffield Council said the first attack was on October 12, when the solar panel was damaged and wiring pulled out.
In a second attack, this week, a vac uum cleaner was thrown at the front of the sign.
