X Factor winner Louisa Johnson and fellow finalists hit the right note with patients, families and staff during a visit to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in Rotherham.

They took time out of rehearsals to visit the hospice, which offers care for children with life limiting conditions, before a Sheffield Arena gig last week.

Winner Louisa was joined by Anton Stephans, 4th Impact, Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, Lauren Murray, Che Chesterman, Mason Noise and Seann Miley Moore.

Josh Fox, aged 18, from Doncaster, who stays at Bluebell Wood for respite care, said: “It’s been amazing. It’s been great to meet them, they are all so nice.”

Josh, who is due to complete a sponsored Wing Walk for the hospice, was presented with some signed items by the X Factor stars.

Julie Barlow, from Barnsley, whose 19-year-old daughter Jodie also visits the hospice for respite care, said: “It can take a lot to come and visit a children’s hospice and I really admire them for coming today - it’s been really exciting. A fabulous experience.”

Joanne and Lee Faulkner, of Doncaster, whose son Aaron, 15, is supported by Bluebell Wood, said: “It’s surreal seeing people who you watch on TV. It’s been really good, we have all enjoyed it so much.”

X Factor’s Louisa said: “Bluebell Wood is so warming, calming and full of laughter. It’s been fantastic to come and meet families today; we’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.

“It’s clear that Bluebell Wood is a friendly place where families feel at home.”

Claire Rintoul, Chief Executive at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, said: “Being able to welcome the X Factor through our doors again is just such a fantastic opportunity.”
