Wrap up warm for Sheffield’s ‘coldest day of the year’

Sheffield is set to shiver in one of the coldest days of the year tomorrow, as temperatures plummet to minus two tonight.

Predicted snow for the city after a weather warning was issued did not materialise today.

But forecasters at MeteoGroup say tonight and tomorrow will be one of the ‘coldest days of the year so far’.

It wilL remain dry tonight with temperatures as low as minus two.

Tomorrow, Saturday, has a frosty start with temperatures reaching only four or five degrees although it will remain dry.

Cloud coming in on Saturday night will make it slightly warmer, with temperatures at around freezing, and Sunday will be wet but warmer at about eight degrees.
