A worker is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after an unoccupied wagon careered across a skip yard in Sheffield.
Police and Health and Safety Executive officials have launched an investigation into the incident at Bradwell’s Skips, on Baker Street, Attercliffe, at 7am today.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police received reports that a 61-year-old man had received serious crushinjuries after he was hit by what is thought to be an unoccupied skip wagon.
“He was taken to hospital where his condition is said to be life threatening.
A Health and Safety Executive spokeswoman confirmed an investigation is happening.
Bradwell’s Skips did not wish to comment.
