WORK has started on Hardwick Hall’s new Visitor Building.
The National Trust’s historic hall, near Chesterfield, is undergoing a transformation of its Stableyard buildings to provide catering and shopping to visitors all year round.
And now the project has seen the start of something new – the construction of the Visitor building thanks to funding from the Bolsover North East Derbyshire LEADER programme.
The building will provide a starting point for all visitors to Hardwick.
The new building has been carefully designed to incorporate sustainable and environmentally friendly measures and should be complete by spring 2012
