The Centenary Baton which celebrates 100 years of the Women’s Institute in England and Wales is coming to Derbyshire next month.

A series of events are being planned around the county involving many of the local WIs, where the baton will be present.

It will be at Creswell Crags and Bolsover Castle on June 18, Chesterfield Crooked Spire and Buxton Pavilion Gardens on June 19 and Chatsworth House on June 20.

The baton has been on its journey since January 1, and will arrive at the Royal Albert Hall in June 2015.
