Two women are in a critical condition in hospital after they plunged from a wall into an underpass in Sheffield city centre.
They sustained serious head injuries after the incident at 1.10am on Saturday morning but are said to be ‘stable’.
Police were called to the scene but it is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances in connection with the incident.
The women were aged 20 and 23-years-old.
A police spokesman said: “Two women, aged 20 and 23-years-old, were sitting on a wall over the underpass.
“The women are then believed to have fallen from the wall down to the underpass, both sustaining serious head injuries.
“They are currently in hospital in a stable but critical condition.”
