Woman rescued from car after early-morning Dronfield bypass smash

A woman was rescued from her car after an early-morning crash.

Firefighters, police and the ambulance service were called to the A61 Dronfield bypass at 12.45am on Saturday.

They found a car had left the southbound carriageway near the Sheepbridge flyover and hurtled into a hedgerow.

Firefighters removed the roof of the car and rescued the woman.

She was left in the care of the ambulance service.

Crews left the scene at 1.45am.
