A WOMAN was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured knee after falling through a ceiling.
The casualty, who was in her 20s, had gone into her loft on Nethergate, Stannington, Sheffield, to have a look at some renovation work that had been carried out in her property when one of her legs went through the ceiling.
She ended up trapped, with her leg dangling through the ceiling, but managed to free herself before firefighters arrived.
But the woman was still unable to get down from her loft unaided and had to be helped down by firefighters and paramedics.
She was given first aid at the scene before she was transferred to hospital in an ambulance.
Firefighters from Rivelin and Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics were called out to deal with the woman at 11.30pm on Thursday.
