A WOMAN who was seriously injured in a road smash earlier this week has died in hospital from her injuries.
The 54-year-old was involved in a collision on the A57 Worksop road in Rotherham at 9.45am on Monday. She suffered multiple fractures and a head injury and died in hospital on Thursday.
The woman was driving a blue Peugeot 206 towards North Anston when it was in collision with a blue LGV Tipper driven by a 49-year-old man towards Worksop.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “The Peugeot drifted onto the other carriageway, the LGV driver tried to avoid crashing, but the vehicles collided.” Witnesses are urged to call police.
