Witness appeal after pedestrian hurt on Sheffield road

Police are appealing for information after a pedestrian was seriously injured on one of the busiest roads in Sheffield city centre.

The 64-year-old woman was struck by a white Mini close to Robins and Day, on Ecclesall Road, near the Waitrose roundabout, at about 1.20pm on Wednesday.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. A 22-year-old woman driving the Mini was not hurt.
