SOUTH Yorkshire-based people’s choir BeVox put the finishing touches to their vocals in Sheffield, ahead of a singing extravaganza this Saturday.

The amateur choir sang for shoppers and office workers enjoying lunch in the Winter Garden in the city centre, and a collection helped raise funds for St Luke’s Hospice.

The choir, led by musician Tim Allen, sing in the Winter Garden again today from 12.30pm – and on Saturday stage two special concerts in the spectacular setting of Magna in Rotherham.

Tickets are still available for the 3pm and 7.30pm performances, which will showcase sweet harmonies to a backdrop of special effects, lighting and pyrotechnics.

Around 100 singers will perform a packed repertoire of music from bands including the Beatles and the Beach Boys, Queen and Abba, Christina Aguilera and Snow Patrol.

Log on to www.visitmagna.co.uk for tickets, priced £12.50 or £10 for concessions.
