A VISUALLY-IMPAIRED Sheffield youngster has cleaned up in a competition to design spectacle-cleaning cloths.
Leo Taylor, aged seven, who has had sight problems since birth, took part in the contest run by Martyn Kemp Opticians.
Some 500 of the cloths featuring Leo’s design of a sun with a smiley face wearing shades, will be produced and sold to raise at least £500 for Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind.
Leo, who enjoys SRSB’s activity days and trips for youngsters, was presented with a £50 book token as a prize.
The cloths – the production of which was funded by Martyn Kemp Opticians – are being sold in the company’s branches for £1 and also at the SRSB office in Mappin Street, Sheffield city centre.
