THE father of Foreign Secretary William Hague MP has raised £59,140 for charity after taking part in a daring ‘wing walk’ at Selby airfield.
Nigel Hague, aged 83, raised the cash for the NSPCC when he walked along the wing of an airborne plane.
Mr Hague, from Harley, Rotherham, said: “I decided to do it to raise awareness of the great work the NSPCC does with children and young people. I would like to thank everyone who kindly donated.
“Wing walking is something everyone should have on their bucket list - it was such an exhilarating experience and everyone should do it before they die.”
