Churchgoers at St Mary’s in Tickhill, Doncaster, are delighted to see that work has restarted on re-installing the fine medieval glass in the south windows that has been undertaken as part of the Conserving the Future Heritage Appeal.

The newly-fitted plain glass that can be seen currently is part of an isothermal system designed to protect the ancient glass from the adverse effects of the elements, pollution and temperature change.

The restored medieval glass will then be positioned in front of the plain glass. The work is due to be completed by September.
