OPERA On Ice - combining the world’s best-loved opera music and ice dancing - is a special cinema event to be screened at selected cinemas next week, including Sheffield Cineworld.

And to celebrate we have family tickets to be won to the showing on Thursday, June 7, at 6.30pm.

The classical ice dancing extravaganza will feature Puccini’s Nessun Dorma, as well as familiar arias from Carmen, La Traviata, Tosca, Rigoletto and Romeo and Juliet, interpreted by top names in ice-dance, including the world’s number one and ambassador to Opera on Ice, Italy’s Carolina Kostner, plus Olympics and European star Stephane Lambiel.

It also features a 200-piece orchestra - Coro e Orchestra dell’Arena di Verona - conducted by Fabio Mastrangelo.

Fabrice Testa, XDC Entertainment’s vice-president, said: “The combination of opera and ice dancing in high definition and 5.1 surround sound is truly magical - a momentous event.”
