Will you cop for Starsky and Hutch as prickly pair need a home?

HAVE a heart - give a hedgehog a home.

Meet Starsky and Hutch, two tiny little cuties currently being cared for by Phil Slack and his team at South Yorkshire Animal Rescue in South Road, Walkley, Sheffield.

When the prickly pair are big enough, the team will be looking to release them somewhere they will be safe - and that's where Star readers come in.

Phil said that at this time of year the Rescue is overrun with hedgehogs found by the public after being abandoned or whose parents have been killed on busy roads.

"We seem to be especially busy this year with people bringing baby hedgehogs from all around the city," said Phil, 50, who has worked at the rescue centre for more than 20 years. "Sometimes they survive, sometime they don't. But for those that do it's important that we find them somewhere safe to move on to."

If you can help call Phil and the team on 0114 234 9656.
