AN £18,000 conservation project in woodland near Sheffield has been completed.

The Wildlife Trust for Sheffield and Rotherham has carried out the project at Greno Woods with money from Veolia Environmental Trust’s landfill communities fund.

Work has included installating bird boxes to benefit robins, flycatchers and owls, and revitalisation of heathland habitats for birds, insects and lizards. Additional woodland edge habitat has been created by removing scrub.
